Path of Fire

Path of Fire is about creating and fulfilling your life's purpose as a co-creator of the new world post 2012. This is what you came in to this incarnation to accomplish. Winter Solstice 2012 marks the midpoint of a cycle where, according to Vedic tradition, one 26,000 year yuga cycle is ending and the next 26,000 year yuga cycle is beginning. How incredible to be physically incarnate at the exact moment in time when one huge cycle is ending and the next one is just beginning! You have planned this lifetime, chosen your unique gifts and talents, for at least hundreds, if not thousands of years and many lifetimes. Now it is time to take your place on the cusp of the next 26,000 year cycle on planet earth. The rest of your life is not about the dying world - it is about birthing a new age. With the alchemy of your mind and your heart you will lay the energetic foundation for the next world.
In native tradition there are four elements - fire, earth, air and water. Fire is the element that represents unconditional Love and Source Energy, that which many feel comfortable calling God. We were created by Love and we are Love. But we have separated our minds from Source and we have forgotten what Love is. We have forgotten Who and What we are. We live separate lives in separate bodies, thinking that we are alone; thinking that others are enemies and that we can be harmed. This is not our truth but we do not remember truth.
Path of Fire is the second year in a two year course in contemporary shamanism for the new Aquarian world. Sacred Journey in Personal Mastery is a required prerequisite to taking Path of Fire. The personal self and your personal life must be prepared to carry the power of shamanic practice and traditions to the planet and the people.
The first year of shamanic training, Sacred Journey in Personal Mastery, is about you personally learning the basics of shamanic tradition and practices and your personal preparation to help the people let go of the dying world paradigm and step into the birthing new world paradigm. In Sacred Journey in Personal Mastery you identify your unique gifts and talents that you have to share and get your guidance on how you can joyously serve the people as we co-create a whole new world. You develop a lifestyle of practice and balance that is a foundation that will support you and your family as you serve during tumultuous times on the planet.
Due to the nature of experiential study in Sacred Journey in Personal Mastery, while other shamanic studies are valuable and encouraged, other shamanic work and study cannot be substituted for Sacred Journey in Personal Mastery.
In Path of Fire you learn how to serve the people and all life on this planet with your unique gifts and talents and passions. This second year is professional shamanic development and training. It is not academic; it is intimate and personal and passionate experiential shamanic learning. At the end of Path of Fire you will have a Professional Action Plan, developed by your own personal guidance, on how you can shift your service from the old work for a living and earn income to survive belief system to the new world paradigm for serving, sharing and being abundantly provided for by the universe (yes, in the energy exchange of the day, not in beads, baubles, and bear skins.) Your current life's work may already be well suited to be expanded by shamanic training and service. You may be ready to completely reinvent your career to align with your true values and new emerging opportunities for global service.

When you finish Path of Fire you will be an Usui Reiki Master, which is an evidence-based, highly recognizable healing practice, and you will be a well-trained practicing shaman. You will have created a personal Life Plan and a business plan based on your soul's gifts and talents in this life time and what you came here to share with the world during the Times of Great Awakening and Transformation. It will be the beginning of a whole new life based on Who and What you really are, your wonderful gifts and talents that bring you joy and fill your life with meaning and purpose, and based on your living your life with joy and passion and integrity and commitment.
You can create a whole new profession for yourself based on your two year shamanic training, or you can integrate what you have learned into your current profession. One of my previous students went on to a full shamanic practice and is now a published author. One student went back to graduate school for a Masters in Divinity in Buddhism and became a hospice chaplain, a career far different from how he had envisioned his life. Other students of mine have taken all that they learned into their existing practices as physicians, attorneys, and state workers. All of their lives were deeply transformed by moving into shamanic practice.
Here is a brief taste of what Path of Fire will include:
Fire Walking
It's certainly not necessary to walk on fire to experience the metaphor of fire and Love. Will we walk on fire during Path of Fire? Well, Pamela is a Certified Fire Walk Instructor and this is the Path of Fire. But we may or may not feel called to actually do a fire walk - or fire walks - during Path of Fire. It's not part of the agenda but if the students want to, we will consider it. We'll talk about when we get together and see how it feels in our hearts. Fire walking is such a wonderful, tangible, physical experience of Love and Who and What we humans really are. We'll cross that bridge - err - fire - when we get to it. Here's what Pamela has to say about fire walking in Path of Fire:
"Fire walking is absolutely amazing. There's no secret trick to it. Humans in physical bodies cannot walk on fire and not have their feet burned off. That's a physical fact in this physical world. And yet - we walk on fire and we don't burn. Quite the contrary. Because fire is the element of love we step into ecstasy and the remembrance of Who and What we really are! So maybe we really aren't of this physical world. Maybe we really are spiritual beings having a physical experience.
No one has to walk on the fire if we have a fire walk. In fact, I always tell people, unless you have clear guidance that you can walk on the fire at that moment and not be burned, do not walk on the fire. This isn't a tough-it-out macho event - it's about love and getting guidance. You will 'get' the fire walk fully whether you are one of the people who walks across the hot coals or not.
What you will experience at the fire walk is that you are NOT a body, that you are Spirit. You will experience that, when you step into the vibration of Who and What you really are, your body is neutral and naturally follows your Mind and Spirit. You will also have one of the best times of your life! Most people have never - or rarely - experienced the LOVE that we open up to and experience at a fire walk. You really get in touch with what Love really is! And you realize, you remember, you awaken, that YOU are what Love is!"

Path of Fire is highly personal and experiential. We do a good deal of personal process work. The focus of this year is for you to develop your gifts and talents and prepare to share them with the world as a practicing shaman. The course is challenging and your life will be transformed. What you currently call your career and source of income will be transformed.
Some of you are so comfortable and such a good fit for the career you are already in that shamanism will expand what you have to a whole new level of service and effectiveness. You may never use words such as "shamanism" in your career. Words and rituals are not what shamanism is really about. Path of Fire is not about walking away from a successful career into a who-knows-what new age fairy tale. For some of you Path of Fire will open up and expand your existing career, align it with Aquarian energies and the emerging partnership paradigm, and takes you and your career to a new level that you could never have imagined.
Some of you are ready to step onto a whole new path in your career, one that accurately reflects what you came here to do in this lifetime. It's been calling you in your heart for decades and you are about to burst with it. It may well be that you have outgrown the old world paradigm of working for a living at a job that does not honor you and this has shown up clearly in your life. You are done with that! Good for you! You're right where you are supposed to be. It's been frustrating perhaps, but every step has been where you were supposed to be then to get to Path of Fire and your place in the new world. And this year is the year that you will step into a career and life that truly reflects Who and What you really are, your unique gifts and talents and what you came here to do in this lifetime. Path of Fire is your appointment with destiny - your destiny.
Path of Fire is going to be highly individual for each student - and each student will be fully supported in the unfolding and blossoming of their personal path of service as we take our places to create the new world.

Time commitment
Path of Fire meets together in person as a group for one weekend per month (Friday evening through Sunday 5 PM) Four of those weekends are long weekends where we go on retreat - two weekends we retreat at the beach and two weekends in the mountains. You will be doing daily practice transforming your life in between our group weekends.
Financial commitment
Tuition is $2800.00 for 12 months. A monthly payment plan is available with no interest fee. There are other minimal expenses involved in the program: required books and students share retreat costs (which we have found makes the extra cost of travel, food and lodging for retreats very affordable when divided among the twelve students)
A Master Teacher joins us
We have found that each group of students is specially called together by Spirit to work with each other, with Pamela, and with a spiritual master teacher who joins each group. We don't know who the master teacher will be until they show up! And they generally do so dramatically!

Sacred Journey in Personal Mastery is the first year of a two year training in contemporary shamanism for the new world. Path of Fire, the second year course, is optional but a logical extension since shamanism is about serving the people and the planet. Studying shamanism is all about asking for, receiving, and acting on your own personal guidance. This is your path and your life and this is between you and Spirit. Please ask for guidance from Spirit on whether you are to join us in Path of Fire.

We are not a formal church or religion, nor are we going to create one. Pamela is an independent minister-at-large. We see this as an increasingly viable professional option in the new world paradigm, where spiritual teachers play valid roles but religions become less meaningful to many people. Awakening offers a high quality, professional training program for independent new thought ministers who will serve the people's spiritual needs in the new Aquarian partnership paradigm.
