Usui Reiki Ryoho
Reiki is an evidence-based integrative health healing practice used in many medical and healing centers and practices around the world. It can be used for personal use or as a component in a professional healing practice. It is a marvelous tool for healers of all kinds such as:

Awakening: A Center for Positive Living offers top quality, affordable training and attunements in the Usui Shiki Ryoho system of Reiki. Pamela Chamberlynn is a 6th generation Usui Reiki Master in the Takata lineage, 4th generation from Ethel Lombardi who was trained and initiated as a Reiki Master by Madame Takata. Madame Takata was trained and initiated in Usui Reiki by Dr. Chujiro Hayashi, who was trained directly by Dr. Mikao Usui.
Usui Reiki 1 and Usui Reiki 2 Training and attunements are included in Sacred Journey in Personal Mastery, the first year of shamanic training offered by Awakening: A Center for Positive Living. Reiki Master training, attunement and initiation in Usui Reiki are included in the Path of Fire, the second year of shamanic training. Training in the Reiki Medicine Wheel and the Language of Light are also included in the 2 years of shamanic training and practice.
Pamela also offers Reiki training and attunements in small groups and on the Internet using distant attunements.
Reiki 1
Hands on your self and others
Intuitive opening
Reiki 1 training spans a 2 month supervised training period that begins and ends with 1 day workshops for a total of 2 days of live training. Reiki 1 training is traditionally presented as a 2 day weekend workshop with no formal follow-up training or supervision to support the student in really becoming comfortable with Reiki and integrating it into their lives. Many students have subsequently dropped away from Reiki without really knowing or coming to use it or understand its full potential. Pamela has created a thorough and supportive training program that addresses these training concerns by fully supporting and engaging the new student for their first 2 months with Reiki. When her students complete Reiki 1 training they feel fully competent and familiar with it and they have personally experienced how it changes their lives and the lives of their loved ones. They proceed to use it with solid knowledge, competence and comfort. Reiki is the joy and powerful life skill that it is meant to be!
- The required text for Reiki 1 training is Essential Reiki by Diane Stein
- Each student does a full Reiki session on themselves every day for 30 days in a row after their initial training and attunement
- Additionally, each student does a full Reiki session on other people a minimum of once a week during the training period of 2 months for a total of 8 Reiki treatments that they share with other people
- Students maintain a daily Reiki journal and participate in a Reiki blog with Pamela and their fellow students and the Reiki community
- Reiki 1 training concludes with a celebration feast in honor of the Reiki graduates that family and friends and our spiritual community are invited to attend
The training fee for Reiki 1 is $225.00.
There is no fee for Reiki attunement, which is a gift from the Universe in your native Language of Light.
Reiki 2

Reiki 2 training involves two 2 day weekends 60 days apart for a 2 month training and support period. In Reiki 2 you learn how to send Reiki energy and healing by distance literally anywhere in the world. You can send powerful energy to anyone no matter where they live.
- The required texts for Reiki 2 training are The Power of Reiki: An Ancient Hands-on Healing Technique by Tanmaya Honervogt and Abundance Through Reiki by Paula Horan
- Each student does a full Reiki session on themselves every day for 30 days in a row
- Additionally, each student practices distance Reiki for any situation in their lives or the lives of others that they hear about that concerns them and events in our natural world or world events that get their attention, a minimum of once a week during the training period of 2 months
- Students maintain a daily Reiki journal and participate in a Reiki blog with Pamela and their fellow students and the Reiki community
- Reiki 1 training concludes with a celebration feast that family and friends and our spiritual community are invited to attend
The training fee for Reiki 2 is $325.00.
There is no fee for Reiki attunement, which is a gift from the Universe in your native Language of Light.
Reiki Master
Reiki Master training, attunements and initiation are part of the 2 year course in shamanism offered by Awakening: A Center for Positive Living. Pamela believes that the world is undergoing unprecedented transformational changes and that there is a need for highly trained, competent and committed energy practitioners ready to serve. She is highly committed to training and preparing Reiki Masters for global service.
Reiki in the enhanced context of professionally trained contemporary shamanic practitioners and spiritual teachers is a wonderful energy practice to help the world and all life, as well as to help yourself and your loved ones, through what will be intense and constant changes now and for the rest of our lives as we birth a new world. We invite you to get your guidance on whether the 2 year course in shamanism is appropriate for you on your path. Pamela is committed to training Reiki Masters in that fuller professional context.
Pamela may be able to consider doing Master training for students that she has trained in Reiki 1 and 2 who are unable to do or not guided to the 2 year training in shamanism. This could be considered by individual application and interview process and only for her own Reiki students.
